When you create an account, we collect your email address, date of birth, and country. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic profile information from those services.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you use the app, including check-ins, ratings, tasting notes, photos, and interactions with other users (toasts, comments, friend requests).
Location Data
With your permission, we collect your location to show nearby venues and wine bars. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.
Device Information
We collect device type, operating system version, and push notification tokens to deliver notifications and improve the app.

3. Information Sharing

- Other users: Your profile, check-ins, and ratings are visible to other users according to your privacy settings
- Service providers: Third parties that help us operate the Service (hosting, analytics, push notifications)
- Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication tokens are stored in your device’s secure keychain.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data through your profile and settings
- Correct inaccurate information via the Edit Profile screen
- Delete your account and all associated data from the app settings
- Export your check-in data (available with Supporter subscription)
- Opt out of push notifications in your device settings
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data after a 30-day grace period. Some anonymized, aggregated data (such as wine rating averages) may be retained.
7. Children’s Privacy
Uncorkd is not intended for anyone under the legal drinking age in their country. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
8. Third-Party Services
The app may use third-party services including Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, and image hosting. These services have their own privacy policies that govern their use of your data.
9. Cookies & Tracking
Our website may use essential cookies for functionality. The mobile app does not use cookies or third-party advertising trackers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
